The North American Indigenous Peoples Caucus (NAIPC) is a voluntary Indigenous body that meets annually to prepare for the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII). The caucus represents those Indigenous Nations, traditional governments, and organizations represented by authorized individuals attending the meeting. NAIPC works by consensus to make recommendations to the agenda items to be addressed by the UNPFII. Between meetings, NAIPC utilizes a listserv as it’s primary means of communicating information. NAIPC is open to all Indigenous Peoples of Turtle Island.
NAIPC withdrew from the GCG on 4 March 2014.
